Hands on, on your feet training
for hands on, on your feet people

The principles of improv can help you to:

Establish Trust

Improv encourages participants to be genuine and open. Active listening is a skill and is essential to building trust.

Adapt to Change

Improv encourages participants to embrace change and uncertainty. The ability to pivot and innovate becomes a key strength in a dynamic real estate market.

Manage Stress

Improv naturally creates a positive and supportive environment. Realtors can use mindfulness techniques from improv to manage stress and return to joy.

How do these skills apply to your work?

They empower you to build better relationships in 4 main ways.

Testimonials

I had the pleasure of attending an improv session headlined by Margaret Hicks at a Women's Council of Realtors Three Rivers network event, and it was truly a breath of fresh air! Margaret's talent brought a perfect blend of laughter and valuable insights on building relationships and improving client service. Her talents highlighted the importance of taking responsibility for our stories, embracing the given reality and emphasizing that we can’t control every conversation. In a time where improvisation is crucial, I'm grateful for Margaret's contribution to the real estate industry.

Thank you so incredibly much for that gift of an experience. I thought the workshop was incredible - and that feeling has been resoundingly consistent from docent feedback. To a tee, each participant has shared how inspiring and impactful the workshop was and how they are eager to implement these tools in their tours.

Manager of Community Engagement & Arts Learning, Smart Museum

We were put in positions where we needed to adapt and to be creative. Listening carefully was also a part of the process. We learned that body language and posture are important elements in how we're perceived. All of these practices could be applied to our docent experience. The need to listen carefully, think creatively, and adapt quickly were all great skills for docents to learn.
